Do we have to nominate a dedicated “data protection officer” according the GDPR?

Concerning the necessity of a dedicated data protection officer please refer to article 37, Top-1 of the GDPR. According to this article none of our TransInvest companies are obliged to nominate a data protection officer.

Attention: The national legislation in your country may differ from the GDPR in a more restrictive manner. In Germany, for instance, you are obliged to nominate a data protection officer if more than 9 people are entrusted with the regular processing of personal data.

Therefore please urgently check out for the specific legislation applicable in your country.
